Join me onboard G-PRPB, one of the Bombardier DHC-8-400s formerly operated by UK budget regional airline Flybe for a Christmas Eve 2019 trip from London Heathrow (LHR) to Edinburgh International Airport (EDI)! Along the way, I indulge in some planespotting at Heathrow and catch sight of some Airbus A319s (Including G-EUPJ in its British European Airways heritage livery for the 100th anniversary of British Airways), a Boeing 777, Boeing 747-400s, an Airbus A320, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Concorde G-BOAB and more!
G-PRPB was in the purple “Faster than road or rail” livery for this flight, designated BE2104. This Dash 8 Q400 aircraft is now owned by a German Bank as the incarnation of Flybe which flew this route has since gone out of business, in the midst of its rebranding as Virgin Connect, due to the fallout of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
