The Parks for the Thirty-Fourth – Tokyo Drift gets underway at last! This trip takes me to Japan to celebrate my 34th birthday by visiting not one, not two, not three but five theme parks – including the bucket list dreams of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea at the Tokyo Disney Resort! But first, I had to get there! I flew with Turkish Airlines in Economy from London Heathrow to Istanbul Airport aboard an Airbus A321neo and then on to Tokyo Narita on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. My London Area Theme Park Week concludes with a visit to Chessington World of Adventures, the park I’ve least recently visited previously. I went in without doing much to refresh my memory so I could have an explore and discover some things for myself on the day. My #London area Theme Park week continues with a visit to the UK’s most popular Theme Park, LEGOLAND Windsor. Headlining this trip were my first rides on the new duelling (and racing!) family shuttle coasters of Minifigure Speedway – Team Legends and Team All Stars. Other rides on the cards included LEGO Ninjago The Ride, Flight of the Sky Lion – the UK’s first flying theatre ride, The Dragon, Dragon’s Apprentice, Fire and Ice Freefall, Haunted House Monster Party, Laser Raiders, meeting with the fishes at Lego City Deep Sea Adventure, LEGOLAND Express & the Hill Train.Continue reading →
I returned to Thorpe Park later in September following my day riding every roller coaster in the park for a more relaxed mid week visit, figuring I could check out the Ghost Train for the first time while I was there. This summer Madame Tussauds unveiled a collection of new Taylor Swift wax figures for some of their venues around the world which celebrated the record breaking phenomenon of the Eras Tour, including one right here in London depicting the iconic Lover Era Bodysuit which she opened the show with. Testing out my new DJI Osmo Action 4 camera. I picked up the Osmo Action 4 to use for things like capturing footage onboard theme park rides where using my DJI Pocket 2 or my iPhone 15 Pro Max handheld wouldn’t be possible or at least impractical. In this sample footage, I test out using the camera for vlogging, walking chest-mounted, in low light, using slow motion & a walking hyperlapse.
